Free Grants Can Cost You More Than You've Thought!

Free grants are synonymous with a monetary or material gift that is yours forever. Or, is it?
Contrary to the common misconception, free garnts don't mean a total abdication of responsibilities. Firstly, to qualify for grants you must submit a convincing grant application that states your case, and shows it as deserving of the help sought. Many applicants take this early stage too irresponisbly, and fails to secure any help.

Secondly, when the grantor agrees to forward the grant money to your account, your obligation become far more serious. If you read the grant approval document, it clearly states that it's your responsibility to provide the grant administrator with periodic reports, specifying how the funds are being disbursed, and the purpose served. This reports should ideally be audited and approved by a qualified accountant.

Having experiences of many beneficiaries failing to discharge their responsibilities, grant administrator conducts frequent filed audits. If your grant funds disposal is found to be lacking, you may be penalized or the money recalled alltogether. Serious consequences (jail or fines) are possible for those who misuse free grants.

Now, when you think about securing the much needed funds through grants, you may have a second thought...
After all, nothing of real value comes free, of obligations at least!
