When you are applying for research grants it is important to know how to write a grant proposal. The type of research that will be conducted should be detailed in the proposal. Next, you should clearly state your hypothesis for the study. What inspired the study? What are the steps for the study? What types of control groups and settings will be used for the study? What is the anticipated duration of the study? These are all important questions that should be addressed for the research grants. The more detailed the grant proposal is the better chances are that you will receive funding from the foundation or other organization.

During the research project it is important to report to the grantor, information as it is discovered. Give the organization updates on how things are going with the project. You will also need to provide financial reports on how the funding is being spent.
