Small business grants money are being offered by the federal government, to further the growth of enterprises most contributing to the overall well-being and prosperity of the nation. American administration however, tend to use taxpayers money (that's where the grants originated from), to further their own partisan interests.
Consequently, the amounts of money allocated for grants varies from state to state, depending on the political orientation of their governing administration. That's why when the democrats rule, apparently affluent (and usually governed by the republicans) states like Florida and California, miss on funds. Similar discrimination takes place in reverse, when the republicans are on the Capitol Hill, and states like New York, or MA are deprived of grants money to help small business expansion.
It's time, that some transparent allocation rules were implemented, thus making the proces of approving small business grants free of interference. American economy will definitely benefit from it, and so will the society at large.
