there ARE grants for single moms BUT you have to pay it back. My friend got help for being a single mom and got help with housing cost BUT in the end she had to pay close to $15,000 back after 2 years of college
@SuperLiz2008 what the hell r u talking about? the government isnt the victim…the people of america are. as much that has been stolen from the middle class american how could u even say that. I have two words for you that will sum up why we deserve grants(free money) and that is Wallsteet Bailouts…If rich people get money for free why the hell shouldnt people who really need it!
How about you all stop wanting everything for free & wanting help from everyone all the time? Our country was never designed to have us rely on it the way everyone does. It’s like America has turned into 1 giant assisted living center where everyone expects everything for free. What happened to adopting the thought process that you work for everything you have in life? Why is that so hard & NO! A GED is never free. Nothing is EVER FREE! Remember that… Loans are just a part of going to college.
So, nobody can really get a grant? DAYAMN!! The college system is fucked up, you can’t get grants… SHIT! Don’t get me wrong, but I never was a patriot, and this helped me expand on my issues. I’ve been looking for grants to pay off my Shaw University bullshit (left after 2.5 weeks for not paying tuition; never knew about withdrawal forms; owe them the pay for one semester) and a loan I never got (Sallie Mae). About $4700 total since three years ago (would have been about $5200).
I live in florida and we actually have a free car program for low income individuals. I idn’t apply for it – but I have met people who have and the cars are very nice
I can tell you really have the “passion to help” it is so refreshing to see, My daughter is one who is learning life the hard way. She does not have a car or can afford one, we cant afford to buy her one, is there a program for single moms getting rides for work? thank you

@KushPlusOrangeJuice no one should get “free” money unless it is willingly given.
